Elder Yang and I have the best time together
The Malaysians love colorful houses!
Hello!

JESSICA'S BIRTHDAY WAS YESTERDAY! Oh wait! It's still her birthday! #perksofbeingontheothersideoftheinternationaldateline HAPPY 16th BIRTHDAY! What in the world is this world coming to! I love her so much and I'm grateful to be her brother. I wish I hadn't been so annoying to her when we were growing up, but hey, I have the rest of my life to make it up!

Update on the Sagarios: We are going to see them tonight, but I think they are doing okay. They may move back to the Philippines sometime, but I don't know for sure. Thank you for praying for them.

So....I've gained some weight out here. I'm not actually that fat and I'm probably in better shape than I ever have been (you can see in the picture I'm not fat, just now I have some flesh to me!) because of the gym and biking and stuff. But yeah, my waist is a little bigger than before! hahahaha

Do you want to know why I'm gaining? It's because in Southeast Asia the culture is "If you like me, you eat my food. The more you eat, the more you like me." So they sometimes say "Eat again, Elder! Elder, eat again!" Even when we're full! It's basically taboo for us to say "kenyang" or "full.' They stuff us every where we go.... hahahaha I'll slim up again when we're home because I won't have to eat more than I think is comfortable!!

Elder Yang and I love life and always laugh and have a great time together. He's an epic companion. We work hard together. And he is a magician with the hair clipper, I swear! My hair is getting some length on the top but shorter on the sides, so it looks much better now!

Something I'm learning out here is to let others be wrong. I always used to think that if they're wrong, they deserve to know, right?? Like if they're wrong, they totally ought to know. Well, that's not effective, and I'm glad I've been able to realize this on my mission and strive to get rid of this terrible tendency.

Also, I'm going to change other habits when I get home. What's more useful, spending an hour on Twitter or reading the complete works of William Shakespeare? I want to make an app that monitors how long you spend on other apps and can tell you when you've exceeded a preset time limit. How useful would that be?! I love to learn, and I realized today I can be a professional student as long as I live as I constantly seek to learn whatever I can get my hands on. No matter what my profession is, I can also be a student.

Well, time flies and I gotta run. But here's a thought for you: According to Elder Ballard, you all need to get a Preach My Gospel manual and start studying it. :) I'd love you to tell me about it!! Can't wait to hear about what you're learning!!! Also, please go read the talk by President Hinckley (if you have a minute) "Find the Lambs, Feed the Sheep."

And remember 2 Nephi 2:24 "But behold, all things have been done in the wisdom of him who knoweth all things." God always knows what he's doing! I'm grateful to know that.

Malaysia Boleh!

Love,

Elder Clay Coleman
